The dirt is vibrated off the watch parts with absolutely no need for manual scraping of the delicate watch parts. Of course, before you can use the ultrasound, watchmakers have to totally dismantle the watch and spread out the parts on an underwater mesh tray in the ultrasound machine for the best cleaning effects. Almost every ultrasound cleaner comes with a heater option for better cleaning. It’s better to not use the heating option as it can damage the delicate coatings on old spare parts or cause them to warp with the heat.
