The Humble Divider Tray

November 16th, 2007 · No Comments

The Divider TrayWe class this item as humble, how wrong can we be?

This is a vital watchmakers tool that should be added to the most basic tool kit inventory.

What is the divider tray used for?

The answer is very simple, when you undertake a watch repair and start to strip movements down you need to protect them from the elements, loss and of course damage. The advantage to the Bergeon 30097 Divider tray is that it is sectionalized, which means that parts can be stored in a logical fashion. For example the larger parts like train bridges and platforms can be stored without the worry of damaging the smaller parts like jewels and pinions. The fragile dial can be put in to it’s own compartment as can the hands.

The Tray

The bottom tray, Bergeon 30097-B is available separately and can be purchased in bulk for the safe storage of many parts. However, you must remember that all delicate parts can be prone to contamination from moisture and that small dust particles can settle on the watch parts causing deterioration of the lubricating oils.

To combat this problem, the geniuses at Bergeon have made a transparent lid to cover the tray!

The Transparent Lid
Once again the Bergeon 30097-C transparent lid is available separately.

There are many reasons why the humble divider tray is a tool that should be part of every watchmakers tool kit. When ever you undertake a watch repair it is vital to have the correct tools to do the job.

Once again TWGC.com lifting the lid on what you need!
